Red Ribbon Week was developed to promote an awareness of the dangers of drugs and bullying. During the last week of October, we will have special activities for students to participate in, and educate them on the dangers of drugs and peer pressure. Monday, October 26th – Proud to be Drug and Bully Free Kick off red Ribbon week and show your drug free pride by wearing a red shirt OR your bully free pride by wearing an orange shirt. Uniform bottoms are required for this day. Tuesday, October 27th – A Good Pirate Says No! Yo ho! Yo ho! A good Pirate always says no! Show us how our good pirates will say “No” by dressing like a pirate, or wearing a shirt with a pirate. Wednesday, October 28th – Don’t Let the Peer Pressure Get to Your Head Show us your strong, independent minds by wearing a crazy hat. Uniform is required for this day. This is school picture day. Students may wear their wacky hats after taking their photos in the morning. Thursday, October 29th – Drug Free From My Head to My TOES Show us your craziest sock! Please remember this is a mass day. Therefore, full uniform is required. Students are allowed to wear crazy socks with their uniform. Friday, October 30th – Drugs are Scary Show us your Halloween shirts. Please nothing gory or too scary, please. This is a free dress down day. Students may wear appropriate Halloween shirts with jeans. Students must wear tennis shoes for PE. Students are expected to dress accordingly to the theme of each day, while following the dress down guidelines of the student handbook.
